A menu item is missing or a page is blocked
Why a menu item doesn't appear or a page says "This module isn't in your plan" or "You do not have permission", and how to get access.
On this page
Attendex shows each person only what their company's plan includes and what their role allows. If a menu item is missing or a page is blocked, it's usually one of the three reasons below.
1. The module isn't in your plan
Your company's package decides which modules you can use, such as Payroll, Hiring or Helpdesk.
- Menu items for modules outside the plan are hidden.
- Opening one of their pages directly shows This module isn't in your plan (admins) or Not available for your company (employees). Admins also see which packages include the module.
Fix:
- Check your package on Settings → Organization → Plan & billing ( open Plan & billing). See View your plan and billable headcount.
- Contact your Attendex account manager to add the module. See Free trial, upgrades and quotations.
- Employees should talk to their HR team.
2. Your role doesn't include it
Admin menus only show the areas your permissions allow. Opening a page without permission shows You do not have permission to access this page. and takes you back.
Fix: ask an administrator to update your role or permissions on Admin Users. See Admin roles and permissions. Changes apply within about a minute — reload the page.
3. The feature hasn't been set up yet
Some menu items appear only once their feature is available for your account. If a colleague with the same role sees an item that you don't, reload the page or sign out and back in.
API calls from a company whose plan doesn't include API & Integrations get a 403 error saying so. See Send punches with the Mark Attendance API.
