Payroll reports, bank files and statutory exports

Download the salary register, bank transfer file, PF ECR, ESI, professional tax, variance, LOP and CTC reports for a payroll run.

Every payroll run has a Reports & files tab with the files you need to pay salaries and file statutory returns.

Before you start

All reports contain pay data, so they need the View payslips & salary structure permission. General report access alone is not enough.
The Bank transfer file also needs Run payroll, edit salary, FnF, deduction rules & adjustments, because it contains account numbers.
Download final files after the run is approved. Files from a draft or in-review run are named DRAFT_ and may change.

Go to Payroll → Run Payroll ( open Run Payroll) and open the month's run.
Click the Reports & files tab.
Click a report card to download it. For the bank file, click the layout you need.

Report	What you get
Salary register	CSV with every component, statutory deduction and line item per employee
Bank transfer file	CSV in Generic, HDFC, ICICI, SBI or Axis layout
PF ECR (EPFO)	Text file in ECR 2.0 format for the EPFO unified portal
ESI contribution	CSV in the ESIC monthly contribution upload layout
Professional tax	CSV with state, slab base and PT per employee, with state totals
Variance vs last month	CSV of net, gross and paid-day changes with reasons
LOP / attendance	CSV of working days, paid days, LOP days and LOP amount
CTC & employer cost	CSV of annual CTC, monthly gross earned and employer contributions

Bank file — salaries on hold, employees paid by cash or cheque, zero net pay and employees without bank account details.
PF ECR — PF members without a UAN.

Debit account

Set your company's Salary debit account (bank files) in Statutory Settings so it appears in the bank file.
