Punch in and out from the employee portal on a computer or phone, and what to do if your punch is refused.

If your company allows it, you can record your attendance from the employee portal on a computer or phone instead of the biometric device.

Before you start

Your organisation must have web punching turned on. If it is off, the page shows Use the device and Web punching is turned off for your organization.
On a phone, allow location access when the browser asks. Some companies only accept punches from inside the office.

Open Punch in / out ( open Punch in / out), or click Remote clock-in in the Actions card on your Attendance page.
Check the clock and date on screen.
If a note box is shown, you can add a Note for your approver.
Click Punch in.

Your first punch-in and last punch-out of the shift make the day. Punching several times in between is fine.

Shift, any Leave for the day, First in, Last out and Worked hours.
Late by and Overtime when they apply.
Every punch of the day. A punch marked Double tap was a repeat and is ignored; Awaiting approval means it counts only after approval.
This week with the hours you have worked so far.

You already punched at … Wait … minute(s) before punching again.	You tapped twice. Your first punch was recorded.
Allow location access to punch …	Turn on location for the browser and try again.
You are … m from … Punches are only accepted inside the office area.	Punch from inside the office, or ask for a regularization (for example on duty).
Web punching is turned off …	Use the biometric device.

Night shifts

If your shift runs past midnight, your punch-out is added to the day your shift started.
